Montessori at Sandy Ford is the oldest established, private, secular school in the Catawba Valley, celebrating our 43rd year of education, serving children ages 3-14.
Enrollment is FULL for school year
2025-26.
We have 4 classrooms total:
2 for early childhood (3-5 yr olds).
1 for 1st-3rd.
1 for 4th-8th.
The Waiting Pool is full for 2026-27 and filling up for 2027-28. Tours and applications to get in the Waiting Pool will resume October 2026.

Children motivate themselves to learn. Their natural curiosity, love of work, and a sense of community are stimulated and nurtured by the prepared environment.
Additional Programs
On a limited basis, Montessori at Sandy Ford offers before and after school care from 7:45-5:00 M-F, as well as a small
1-classroom summer program.
Updated version
Inclement Weather:
We will announce school closing or delay due to inclement weather via email and a message through Remind App. We attempt to make the announcement by 7 am. In the event that we close school during the day, we will make an announcement via the above means and also attempt to contact parents and caregivers by phone or text.
